Catering Brecon

Brecon and the surrounding Beacons is where most of our field-and-marquee wedding work happens. These are the venues with the best views and the worst infrastructure: no mains power, no kitchen, sometimes no hard standing. That suits us. Our wood-fired units carry their own fuel and run without a generator, which is the single reason we get booked for sites where a conventional caterer needs a power drop and a prep tent.

We also cover Brecon town, Llangorse, Talybont-on-Usk, Crickhowell, Sennybridge and venues across the Bannau Brycheiniog national park.

Getting to you

Distance: About 28 road miles
Travel time: Roughly 50 minutes from our Tonypandy base
What that means: Far enough that we plan the day around an early departure, close enough that we are regulars rather than visitors.

We hired them for a pre-wedding celebration in Brecon on 2nd June for 75 people and they were amazing! We got SO MANY compliments from guests about how fab the pizza was, we chose 5 different toppings including various dietary requirements that were catered for superbly. They set up, served for 3 hours and then cleared up and it worked so well for our celebration.

Off-grid by default

The wood-fired oven needs no electricity at all. On a bare field with no power and no water on tap, we can still put hot food out for 75 people over a three-hour service, which is exactly what we did in Brecon in June.

Ground conditions matter more here

A wet week before a Beacons wedding changes what we can tow onto a field. We will ask about the ground and the gate width before we quote, and we would rather bring the smaller unit and get in than bring the big one and get stuck.

Weather planning

We serve in Welsh weather as a matter of routine, but guests queue better under cover. If your venue has no marquee overhang near the serving point, say so early and we will position the unit to give people somewhere dry to stand.
