Our units travel to venues all over South Wales, and someone has to get them there. You check the vehicle and unit before setting off, tow or drive it to the venue, and position it on the pitch, which can mean a tight farm track or a soft field as often as a car park.
Once the unit is set up you stay and work the event with the team, then pack down and bring everything home.
What You Will Do
- Pre-journey checks on the vehicle, trailer and hitch
- Towing or driving units to venues and pitching them safely
- Helping to set up, serve and pack down at the event
- Getting the unit back to base and reporting any faults
What You Need
- To be 18 or over, with the right to work in the UK
- A full UK car licence (category B). Since December 2021 that covers towing a trailer up to 3,500kg, so no separate towing test is needed
- Confidence towing and reversing a trailer
Good to Have
- Experience towing caravans, horseboxes or plant trailers
- Catering or event experience
- A Level 2 Food Hygiene certificate (if you do not have one, we pay for it)
How the Work Runs
- Pay: £14 an hour.
- Casual work: you choose which events you take on.
- Mostly weekends, busiest from April to October.
- Some shifts start from our base in Tonypandy and some at the venue. We tell you where and when for each one.
- We pay for your Level 2 Food Hygiene certificate if you do not already have one.
