The Job

When we arrive at a wedding or a festival, the team leader is in charge. You brief the team, make sure the unit is set up properly and safely, and keep service running to the timings the customer agreed.

You are the person the couple, the venue manager or the festival organiser comes to on the day. At the end you complete the food safety records and make sure everything is packed, cleaned and accounted for before the team leaves site.

What You Will Do

  • Briefing the team and giving out jobs before service
  • Checking the set-up and food temperatures, and keeping our food safety records
  • Running service to the agreed timings and looking after the customer and the venue
  • Handling whatever does not go to plan, calmly
  • Signing off the pack-down at the end of the event

What You Need

  • To be 18 or over, with the right to work in the UK
  • Experience supervising a team in hospitality, catering or events
  • Level 3 Food Safety, or to be willing to work towards it

Good to Have

  • Wedding or festival experience
  • A personal licence, for events where we serve alcohol
  • A driving licence

How the Work Runs

  • Pay: £16 an hour.
  • Casual work: you choose which events you take on.
  • Mostly weekends, busiest from April to October.
  • Some shifts start from our base in Tonypandy and some at the venue. We tell you where and when for each one.
  • We pay for your Level 2 Food Hygiene certificate if you do not already have one.
